Pakistan Remittances Up 7.9% in June 2025

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) shared some important information about money sent to Pakistan from other countries.

In June 2025, Pakistan received $3.4 billion from people living abroad. This is 7.9% more than what was sent in June last year.

For the whole year of 2025, the total money sent to Pakistan reached $38.3 billion. This is a big increase of 26.6% compared to the year before.

In June, most of the money came from Saudi Arabia, which sent $823.2 million. The United Arab Emirates sent $717.2 million.

The UK sent $537.6 million, and the United States sent $281.2 million.

In May 2025, the SBP also reported an increase in money sent from abroad.

From July 2024 to May 2025 (the first 11 months of the year), Pakistan got $34.9 billion in total remittances. This is much more than the $27.1 billion received in the first 10 months of the previous year.

The SBP said the remittances grew by 28.8% compared to the same time last year.

Compared to April 2025, the remittances in May went up by 16%. And compared to May 2024, the increase was 13.7%.
