Khawaja Asif, Prince Khalid Reaffirm Pakistan–Saudi Defense Alliance

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has echoed the strong message of unity shared by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defence, Prince Khalid bin Salman, on the social media platform X.

Quoting Prince Khalid’s post, Asif wrote that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia stand “united and shoulder to shoulder against the enemy.” He added that ties between the two brotherly nations have entered a decisive phase, expressing hope that under the blessings of Almighty Allah, the Muslim world will also unite against common threats.

“Long live Pakistan, long live the Muslim Ummah,” he concluded.

On Thursday, Prince Khalid bin Salman reaffirmed the deep-rooted alliance, declaring, “KSA and Pakistan. One front against any aggressor. Always and forever.”

The statements come shortly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed a landmark Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement in Riyadh. The pact commits both countries to consider any act of aggression against one as an attack on the other, underscoring a new chapter in their historic defense and security partnership.
