The prime minister sent his best wishes to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He also told the ambassador that since Pakistan will be leading the UN Security Council in July, the country hopes to have Saudi Arabia’s support for a smooth and successful term.

The Saudi ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in the region.

Tech Partnership Between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia

Earlier, Pakistan’s IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja had a meeting with the Saudi Minister for Communications and IT, Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha. Both countries agreed to continue working together on technology projects.

They talked about starting the “Pakistan Digital Corridor”—a project that will connect Pakistan with China and Central Asia to improve global digital links.

One key update from the meeting was Pakistan’s approval of a Rs 4.8 billion program to train over 7,000 young people in semiconductor and advanced technologies.

Minister Shaza Fatima also shared Pakistan’s full support for Saudi Arabia’s National Semiconductor Hub and stressed the need to work together in fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computing.
