The appeals were submitted in relation to bail requests made by Imran and Bushra in six cases involving violence on May 9 and one involving bogus receipts from Toshakhana, respectively. Sessions court judge Tahir Abbas Sipra chaired the hearing. Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, Imran’s attorney, showed up in court.
The two are being held in Adiala jail, and the superintendent received orders today after Imran’s attendance was not recorded via video connection by the jail administration. At the most recent hearing, an order was given to accomplish this.

Under several provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), including Section 420, the Kohsar police station in Islamabad filed a formal complaint (FIR) against Imran, Bushra, and PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari for allegedly presenting fictitious receipts for the purchase and sale of goods acquired from the Toshakhana, the state’s gift repository.
