The First Airline to Operate in the Fog is Fly Jinnah

Since starting operations in November 2022, Fly Jinnah has been a major force in Pakistan’s aviation industry. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) recently granted the airline permission to operate CAT III approaches, arrivals, and departures.

Being the only domestic airline having CAT III certification for all of its pilots and fleet, Fly Jinnah stands out for being suited to operate effectively in difficult visibility situations, especially in the fog that frequently forms between Pakistan’s major cities.

An essential component of the Instrument Landing System (ILS), the CAT III certification helps make landing operations easier in low visibility situations. Fly Jinnah’s ability to navigate and function without hiccups in inclement weather is greatly enhanced by this certification.

Based on the Aviation Ministry’s suggestion, the federal cabinet authorized Fly Jinnah to conduct foreign operations the year before. The airline aspires to expand its operations to other locations, including the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Turkey.

In addition to achieving CAT III certification, Fly Jinnah has received praise from the CAA for being a leader in domestic flight punctuality. Notably, the airline outperformed rivals including Air Sial, Air Blue, and Serene Airlines with an amazing 87.93% on-time departure rate. These accomplishments establish Fly Jinnah as a significant participant in the aviation industry, capable of conducting both internal and foreign operations with ease.
