Pakistan won first T20I , President Congratulates

Pakistan won the first T20I agianst South Africa: President Dr.Arif Alvi has lauded Pakistan’s cricket team as the Green Shirts won the first T20I against South Africa by three runs here on Thursday.

Taking to Twitter, the President wrote, “Good work Pakistan. Green shirts you win in a good contest. Excellent batting by Rizwan for his T-20 ton following up immediately after his test century.”


Pakistan has won the first T20I series against South Africa by three runs and took the 1-0 lead at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium here on Thursday.

Mohammad Rizwan shined as he scored his maiden T20I century for the Men In Green as he hit 104 for 64 balls against South Africa.

Pakistan suffered a collapse after losing an early wicket of skipper Babar Azam who got run-out in the first over. Haider Ali was caught in the sixth over when Pakistan was 37-1. He scored 21 off 16 balls with the help of three sixes.

He helped Pakistan score 22 runs in the last two overs to set a 170-run target for South Africa.

Pakistan scored 43-2 in the power play with Rizwan and Hussain Talat at the crease and won the First T20I.
Thereafter, Rizwan didn’t look back and kept the scoreboard ticking.

On the last ball of the 11th over, he raised the bat for scoring maiden T20I fifty but his mood looked different.
