To create the enchanted gold costume, the designer has been showing Parineeti sneak peeks of his creations.
Manish Malhotra, the designer of Parineeti Chopra’s custom gown, has come forward to share some heartwarming details that were incorporated into the design of the dress for the unique sentimental value they held. As admirers and internet users continue to gush over Parineeti Chopra’s stunning bridal attire and overall wedding look.
The renowned fashion designer yesterday posted a carousel of images to his Instagram page and wrote a caption to describe a small but major change he made to Parineeti’s champagne-gold bridal lehnga choli. A photo from Parineeti’s big day, in which the designer and muse could be seen grinning and giggling while staring at one another, was also posted. The fashion mogul explained in the statement that Parineeti wanted to bring a memory of her deceased maternal grandmother with her on her special day, and that they were able to do so by incorporating her challa into the bridal lehnga’s tassel.
Other images in the swipe-through post showed the bride’s lehnga up close as well as the elaborate tassel that hung from its waist. An extra dramatic element that is frequently added to the lehnga-choli silhouette to give it an auditory character as the ornaments hanging from it jingle against one another with the wearer’s every movement is a huge, intricate, embroidered, decorated, and handmade tassel.
“Some particulars are absolutely crucial. I well recall Parineeti and I talking about the lehenga design, and she mentioned using her Nani’s challa (traditional keychain) in the design. “She wanted to pay a heartfelt homage to her nani, who used to wear the same challa in her saree with the keys, a symbol of being the lady of the house,” Manish wrote under the image as he outlined the sentimental significance of the little objects that swung at the ends of the gold, beaded tassel.
When Parineeti’s nani went around the house, the sound of the challa was a melody of power and grace. That’s when I realized we HAD to include that family heirloom in her lehenga. Of course, we also included additional components that were important to both Parineeti and Raghav, such as London, music, Khanda Sahib, and more. Parineeti would have a piece of her on her special day, not just an ornament, the designer continued.
In the same week, Parineeti also used her Instagram Story to thank her followers for all the support and love she and her husband Raghav had gotten since getting married.
“Raghav and I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude. We are overwhelmed by appreciation for the love and good vibes that have been sent our way. Please know that we have been reading every message with joy, even if we may not have had time to personally react to everyone (life has been a whirlwind, as you may guess). Knowing that you are all with us as we set off on this wonderful trip together means the world to us. Your kindness and gifts are genuinely precious, and we are incredibly grateful. read the article.
