Peshawar Property Valuations Revised in Over 5,000 Areas Under New DC Rates

PESHAWAR – Authorities have implemented revised Deputy Commissioner (DC) rates across more than 5,000 localities in Peshawar, significantly altering property valuations in both urban and rural areas.

The updated valuation list, issued on Thursday, affects residential and commercial zones including Hayatabad, Zaryab Colony, University Road, Faqirabad, Ring Road, Peshawar Cantonment, GT Road, Charsadda Road, and various inner-city markets. These areas have seen a sharp increase in property rates.

In contrast, agricultural and underdeveloped regions have experienced a reduction in valuation, a move aimed at balancing real estate dynamics across the district.

According to official sources, the revised rates have been circulated to all relevant departments and will immediately be enforced for property sales, transfers, and taxation assessments. The changes are part of a broader effort to regulate Peshawar’s property market and boost government revenue through more accurate land valuations.

Experts suggest that while higher rates may push up prices in developed neighborhoods, the lowered valuations in some zones could open new doors for investors seeking affordable property.

The decision is expected to directly influence property transactions, taxation policies, and investment strategies throughout the province.
