Petrol Price Steady Diesel and LPG Cut in Pakistan

Petrol Prices Unchanged, Diesel and LPG See Decline

Islamabad – September 1, 2025: The federal government has kept the price of petrol unchanged, while announcing a cut in diesel and LPG prices, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Petrol will continue to be sold at Rs264.61 per litre, the same as last month. However, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs3, bringing it down to Rs269.99 per litre.

Other fuels have also seen slight adjustments. Light diesel oil has dropped by Rs2.40 per litre to Rs159.76, while kerosene oil is now priced at Rs176.81 per litre after a reduction of Rs1.46.

This comes after the August 16 review, when petrol prices were also left unchanged, but diesel saw a sharp cut of Rs12.84 per litre.

Meanwhile, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a decrease in LPG prices for September. The price has been slashed by Rs1.17 per kilogram, setting the new rate at Rs214.2 per kg. A domestic cylinder of 11.8 kg will now cost Rs 2,527, down by Rs 14.36.

Officials say the reductions reflect global oil market trends and aim to provide some relief to consumers amid rising living costs.
