Petrol Prices in Pakistan Drop by Rs5.45/Literc v A Win for Consumers

In response to recent economic considerations, the price of petrol in Pakistan has witnessed a significant reduction of Rs5.45 per liter.

This adjustment, proposed per recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), brings the price down from Rs293.94 to Rs288.49 for the upcoming two-week period.

The decision to lower petrol prices aims to alleviate the financial burden on consumers and align with ongoing efforts to manage the cost of living in the country. Effective from May 1, the revised prices were formally announced through a notification issued by the Finance Division on Tuesday, marking a welcomed change for motorists and households across Pakistan.

This reduction not only reflects the government’s responsiveness to economic dynamics but also underscores its commitment to ensuring the affordability and accessibility of essential commodities for the public.
