Petroleum Price: The prices are revised every 15 days, but they will remain unchanged from March 1 to March 15, the Petroleum Division said.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected the summary on increase in petroleum prices submitted by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
According to the Ogra summary sent to the Petroleum Division prices of petrol and diesel were recommended to be increased by Rs20.07 and Rs19.61, respectively.
Below are the prices of petroleum products prices right now:
- Petrol: Rs111.90 per liter
- High-speed diesel: Rs116.07 per liter
- Kerosene oil: Rs80.19 per liter
- Light diesel: Rs79.23 per liter
Dr. Shahbaz Gill in a post on Twitter also said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had recommended an increase of Rs6-7 per liter but PM Imran Khan turned it down.
“The government has made no increase in the prices of petroleum products,” he said, also attaching the summary that had also forwarded to the premier by the Finance Division for approval.

The summary showed that an increase of Rs6.22; had recommended for Petrol, Rs6.82 for High-Speed Diesel, Rs6.37 for Kerosene, and Rs5.78 for Light Diesel Oil.
The prices had been based on the notified petrol levy and standard sales tax @ 17%.
