Imran Khan Appreciates Shaukat Khanum’s Team

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Monday congratulated Shaukat Khanum Hospital’s team for maintaining quality standards during the testing times of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister said that it is due to the efforts of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Lahore;


It has re-accredited by the US Joint Commission International in its 7th edition of more stringent standards.


“Congratulations to the SKM team for another milestone. Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore has re-accredited by US Joint Commission International.

Delighted our world-class services have again internationally recognized. Our team maintained high-quality standards even during the COVID pandemic,” the premier wrote.

Shaukat Khanam Hospital is one of the leading cancer hospitals with State of the art standards. Located in Lahore and Peshawar.

Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is the brainchild of Pakistan’s Cricket World Cup-winning captain and now Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan.

The inspiration to build the Hospital came after his mother, Mrs. Shaukat Khanum, succumbed to cancer in 1985. During his mother’s illness.

He witnessed up-close the plight of poor cancer patients in the hospitals of Pakistan; and realized the need for a specialized cancer center in his country.
