PM Youth Laptop Loan Scheme 2025 Launched for Students and Freelancers
ISLAMABAD – The government has introduced the PM Youth Laptop Loan Scheme 2025, offering laptops on easy, interest-free installments to students, freelancers, and young professionals struggling with the rising cost of digital devices.
Officials say the initiative is a strategic investment in Pakistan’s digital economy, aimed at equipping the youth with tools to excel in online education, freelancing, and e-commerce.
Under the scheme, applicants can access loans of up to PKR 450,000, depending on their laptop needs. The loans are categorized into three tiers:
Basic: PKR 150,000
Medium: PKR 300,000
Advanced: PKR 450,000
All loans will be repayable in flexible monthly installments spread over multiple years.
Eligibility
The scheme is open to Pakistani citizens aged 18–35, including university students, freelancers, and young entrepreneurs. Preference will be given to candidates from low-income households. However, government employees are not eligible.
Required Documents
Applicants must provide:
CNIC (scanned copy, front and back)
Recent passport-size photograph
Proof of income (salary slip or guardian’s income statement)
Educational certificates or university admission proof
Freelancers’ online profiles (Fiverr, Upwork, etc.)
Applications will be processed entirely online through the official PM Youth Program portal to ensure transparency and convenience.
Officials believe the scheme will help bridge the digital divide, promote equal opportunities, and enable young Pakistanis to compete globally in knowledge-driven industries.
