Following an attack on their car in Lakki Marwat on Saturday, two police officers—among them a deputy superintendent of police (DSP)—were slain.
Terrorists attacked the police car at night. In addition to injuring another police officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gul Muhammad Khan and his shooter Constable Naseem Gul suffered fatal injuries.
The area was blocked off for investigation and the injured were moved to Sarai Norang, the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
Two police constables were shot and killed in a terror assault in the Lakki Marwat area earlier in March.
Informed by the police that two traffic sergeants were slain in broad daylight when unknown bike riders opened fire on them at Lakki Marwat’ Darra Pizu Bazaar.
“The attack left both police officers with serious injuries. Although locals hurried them to the hospital, Head Constable Zaram Khan passed away at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) and Constable Hafizullah died before arriving at the hospital.
The bike riders committed the act and were able to get away.
