PPP Raises Concerns to PML-N Over Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz

PPP Holds Backchannel Talks with PML-N Over Punjab CM Concerns

Sources have revealed that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has quietly opened backchannel communications with the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

According to party insiders, the PPP expressed serious concerns regarding the conduct of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. In response, PML-N officials reportedly assured the PPP that their reservations would be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

The PML-N leadership also committed to presenting the PPP’s concerns directly to the party’s top decision-makers.

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz has made it clear that she will not tolerate any criticism of Punjab or its people. Speaking at a gathering in Faisalabad, she said personal attacks against her do not bother her, but any remarks targeting Punjab, its citizens, or its development projects will be met with a strong response.

“If my opponents talk about me, I don’t mind, but if they target Punjab and its progress, I will confront them even at their doorstep,” she asserted.

Maryam highlighted that Punjab had provided relief worth Rs50 billion to its people, yet critics continued to report the province to the IMF. She questioned why objections arose when Punjab undertakes development projects like canal construction, stressing that the province spends its fair share from the NFC Award on public welfare.
