Punjab Sends Thousands of Tons of Aid to Gaza

LAHORE – Punjab has continued its humanitarian support for Palestine with the dispatch of relief supplies to Gaza. The aid package includes ration bags filled with flour, rice, cooking oil, chickpeas, ready-to-eat meals, and canned fruits.

So far, a total of 2,227 tons of aid has been sent through 23 relief consignments.

Governor Punjab, Sardar Salim Haider Khan, was the chief guest at the send-off ceremony, which was also attended by government officials, NDMA officers, and representatives from the Alkhidmat Foundation.

During his address, the Governor praised the NDMA and other welfare organizations for their efforts in ensuring timely aid delivery and expressed gratitude for their service.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to stand with the people of Palestine in these challenging times, emphasizing that the country will do everything possible to meet their urgent needs.

“The oppressed Muslims of Gaza and Palestine are our brothers,” he said, noting that innocent Palestinians, including children, continue to lose their lives daily. He criticized Israel for violating humanitarian principles by targeting civilian areas.

Sardar Salim Haider also called on the United Nations to take strict notice of Israeli actions and urged all Islamic countries to collectively support Palestine.
