Qatari Princess Named Brand Ambassador for Pakistan’s Mountains

While talking to famous Qatari mountaineer Sheikha Asma Al Thani in Islamabad on Thursday, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan is very proud to have five of the world’s 14 highest mountains. He said this makes Pakistan a top place for mountaineers and adventure lovers.

The Prime Minister congratulated Sheikha Asma for becoming the first woman from Qatar and the Gulf region to climb Nanga Parbat. He praised her for inspiring women and girls all over the world, especially by showing that women can succeed in adventure sports and mountain climbing.

To honor her success and her efforts to show the beauty of Pakistan, the Prime Minister officially made her a Brand Ambassador for Pakistan’s Mountains and Tourism.

He also said that her achievement shows the strong friendship between Pakistan and Qatar, and their shared values of courage, big dreams, and never giving up. He added that both countries can work more closely in the future, especially in adventure tourism, sports, and youth programs.

Sheikha Asma thanked the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan for their warm welcome during her trips. She talked about how amazing her Nanga Parbat climb was and thanked the local porters and guides for helping her.

She also said Pakistan’s mountains are beautiful. She called K2—another mountain she climbed earlier—the most special mountain of all, and described it as a “Complete Mountain” because of its unmatched beauty.
