Rajat Bedi Makes a Comeback in Aryan Khan’s Netflix Debut Series
Former actor and pageant winner Rajat Bedi is making a striking return to the screen in Netflix’s highly anticipated satire, starring star kid Aryan Khan. Bedi plays the role of Jaraj Saxena in the series, marking his first major project in years.
Bedi had stepped away from the Indian film industry several years ago, despite being known for his memorable antagonistic roles. He relocated to Canada, where he pursued a career as a real estate developer, away from the limelight.
In a past interview, Bedi opened up about why he left Bollywood, pointing fingers at filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. The actor revealed that his role in the Hrithik Roshan–Preity Zinta film Koi… Mil Gaya was significantly reduced.
“There couldn’t have been a bigger hit than Koi… Mil Gaya, but I didn’t gain anything from it,” Bedi said. “I had a lot to do in that film, but my track with Preity Zinta was cut. The biggest disappointment was being completely left out of the promotions when the film was released. As an actor, you have certain expectations, and it felt very disheartening.”
Bedi added that he struggled to gain recognition in Bollywood after the death of his father, filmmaker Narendra Bedi, leaving him without strong support in the industry.
With his return in Aryan Khan’s debut series, fans are excited to see Bedi back in action on the screen.
