Talking to media he said the transfer of utilities has caused a delay in the completion of the BRT project.

Traffic has been badly disturbed at Karachi’s busy University Road and other areas along the Red Line BRT route due to work on the project.
The transport minister denied the regularization of Chingchi rickshaws mostly facilitate citizens of the metropolis in several areas.
“The government has imposed a ban on plying Chingchi rickshaw, they are running over the stay order,” Sharjeel Memon added.
The BRT project has previously come under scrutiny for infrastructure-related disruptions. Earlier, the Sindh High Court (SHC) summoned Karachi’s mayor and the secretary of transport over concerns regarding tree-cutting along the BRT route.
The secretary of forests told the court that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is responsible for trees within the city, while the forest department’s jurisdiction begins outside urban limits.
