Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday and reiterated the enduring commitment and trust between Pakistan and China, referring to their alliance as one created in “heaven.”
Leaders and delegates from almost 140 different countries attended the meeting, which was hosted at the Great Hall of People in conjunction with the Third Belt and Road Forum.
The acting prime minister emphasized that Pakistan would stand firmly by China and would not permit anything to jeopardize their important strategic alliance.
Prime Minister Kakar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the “One China policy” during his opening remarks to the meeting today, emphasizing that their dedication would be shown through actions, not just words.

We talked about the many facets of the relationship between Pakistan and China and reiterated our enduring friendship, solid strategic partnership, strong economic and trade connections, and CPEC. Pakistan’s close ties with China would not be abandoned, according to Prime Minister Kakar.
President Xi, meanwhile, gave the premier and his delegation a warm welcome. Among the delegation’s notable members were interim federal ministers for commerce, industries, and production Gohar Ejaz, caretaker federal finance minister Shamshad Akhtar, interim federal interior minister Sarfraz Bugti, interim federal foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, and interim federal minister for trade and foreign policy Jalil Abbas Jilani.

President Xi’s speech at the Belt and Road Forum was praised by Prime Minister Kakar as “profound, deep, and visionary,” promising a wealth of opportunities, particularly for Pakistan.
He emphasized that Pakistan should grab the chance while also highlighting how China’s success has a good influence on the rest of the globe, summing it with the adage “when China does well, the rest of the world does well.”
The PM also emphasized that the eight ideas made by President Xi at the meeting functioned as a stabilizing force for the global order in addition to serving as a blueprint for physical connectivity.
He characterized the Belt and Road Initiative as a sensible and useful response to the political, economic, and civilisational difficulties that many countries around the world are currently experiencing.
Prime Minister Kakar remarked that China’s tremendous development changed the lives of millions of people worldwide and acted as a global role model. He emphasized that all levels of Pakistan’s political systems supported China in unison.
In response, President Xi stated that China was ready to collaborate closely with Pakistan to further solidify their longstanding friendship and expand their bilateral relationship.
He reaffirmed their commitment to moving quickly and with high quality development along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), all while promoting peace and progress in the region.
