Sacha Baron Cohen Shows Off New Look for Marvel Role as Mephisto
Sacha Baron Cohen has surprised fans with a big physical transformation for his new role as the Marvel villain Mephisto.
The 53-year-old actor, best known for his role in Borat, shared his new body on Instagram, saying, “Some celebrities use Ozempic, some private chefs, and some personal trainers. I used all three.” But later, he cleared up the confusion by adding, “Despite reports, I did not take Ozempic.”
Cohen said he got in shape with the help of personal trainer Alfonso Moretti. “I got this body the honourable way — paying a personal trainer a lot of money,” he joked.
He also poked fun at himself, posting, “This is not artificial intelligence. I’m selfish enough to make this a reality. Introducing my new character: a middle-aged man who swapped beer for protein shakes.”
In a fitness magazine interview, Cohen explained how shorter workouts helped him stay consistent, even with his busy filming schedule. “In the past, I thought you needed hour-long sessions, but short ones worked better,” he said.
He also talked about how fitness changed his daily routine. “Instead of lying in bed staring at my phone, I now wake up, jump on FaceTime, and train with Alfonso. It starts the day with a positive mindset — and I don’t even have to look up from my phone!”
Cohen announced his divorce from actor Isla Fisher last year. Now, with his new role and new body, he’s back in the spotlight.
