With the One UI 6.1 upgrade, which will be available on high-end devices including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 line, Samsung is improving its Galaxy AI function.
Once publicly accessible, this update is expected to be installed on 100 million devices globally, according to Nick Porter, Vice President at Samsung. It will include new features like text summaries, AI wallpapers, live translation, and more that were first available with the Galaxy S24 series.
Porter said that Samsung is still determining which devices will get Galaxy AI and whether they would get the whole feature set or a customized selection depending on hardware compatibility when questioned about plans to introduce the technology to older smartphones.
