Court Hands Over Case Documents to Accused in Sana Yousuf Murder Trial

Islamabad – Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka on Saturday presided over the hearing of the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousuf. During the proceedings, police produced the accused, Umar Hayat, before the court.

The court provided Hayat with copies of the challan, fulfilling the required legal process.

Sana Yousuf was shot dead in Islamabad on June 3. According to initial reports, the accused, a 22-year-old identified as Umar Hayat alias Kaka, had allegedly been pressuring Sana for “friendship,” but she consistently rejected his advances. This repeated refusal is said to have triggered the fatal attack.

Eyewitnesses claimed that during their last exchange, Sana tried to calm the situation, telling him, “You’re getting agitated, leave this place. There are CCTV cameras, please depart.” Moments later, gunshots rang out.

Sana sustained two bullet wounds and died on the spot. The suspect fled the scene, while her body was shifted to PIMS Hospital for post-mortem examination before being handed over to her family.

Police registered a case under murder charges at Sumbal Police Station, and the suspect is now facing trial.
