On August 29, 2024, the anime series “Terminator Zero” will have its global debut on Netflix.
The new characters in the “Terminator” universe are the focus of the eight-episode animated series.
According to the official series summary, “2022: A future war has raged between the few human survivors and an endless army of machines for decades.” 1997 saw the self-awareness of the AI known as Skynet and the start of its conflict with humans.
“It [the show] didn’t have anything to do with continuity, which feels like the obvious head scratcher, given all the time tampering across six movies,” said Mattson Tomlin, the writer of Project Power and The Batman Part II, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Tomlin stated to Entertainment Weekly that the program views every previous movie as canon. We won’t act as though the third movie never happened. We won’t act as though the sixth film never happened.
The ‘Terminator’ franchise has been expanded to include six films, a television series, books, comic books, video games, and web series.
It all began with James Cameron’s science fiction blockbuster “The Terminator” from 1984, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a robotic assassin hunting down Linda Hamilton’s character Sarah Connor.
The first anime film in the series is called “Terminator Zero.”
