ISLAMABAD – In a shocking development, Shabir Tanoli has confessed before a magistrate to sexually abusing multiple children in six separate cases.
According to court details, Tanoli admitted to luring children with money and then exploiting them in secluded areas or rented rooms. He further revealed that on some occasions, he recorded videos of the abuse. “I am ashamed of what I did,” he told the court during his statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Before recording the confession, the magistrate allowed Tanoli two hours to reconsider, reminding him that the statement could be used against him during trial. The court also ensured that the accused was not under police pressure or torture, to which Tanoli confirmed he was confessing voluntarily.
When asked if others were involved, Tanoli claimed he acted alone. He disclosed that he first befriended some victims in 2022 and later exploited them.
The magistrate has placed the confessional statement on record, confirming that Tanoli admitted guilt in all six cases.
