Shehbaz Sharif Meets World Leaders at Arab-Islamic Summit

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a series of informal and formal meetings with world leaders during his visit to the Arab-Islamic Summit.

According to details, the Prime Minister exchanged warm greetings and a friendly handshake in an informal meeting attended by U.S. President Donald Trump and the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was also present on the occasion.

On the sidelines of the summit, Shehbaz Sharif also met with Sheikh Tamim, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. These interactions were described as candid and cordial, marked by meaningful exchanges on key issues.

Earlier, the Prime Minister held a bilateral meeting with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah in New York during the UN General Assembly session.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the historic fraternal ties between Pakistan and Kuwait, conveying his respects and good wishes for the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He thanked Kuwait for its solidarity and support in the aftermath of the recent floods in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction over the growing cooperation between the two countries and reiterated Pakistan’s interest in expanding ties in trade, investment, agriculture, livestock, manpower export, and health.
