Nawaz Sharif not returning to take revenge

Nawaz Sharif will leave on a to Saudi Arabia

Shehbaz Sharif, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has promised that party chief Nawaz Sharif is returning to the nation, not to exact “revenge but in fact to rescue the country out of crisis.”

Shehbaz reaffirmed and confirmed his brother’s return to Pakistan on October 21 while speaking to a political meeting in Lahore on Wednesday. He further stated that Nawaz is returning to serve the people of Pakistan and to once more start the country’s road towards prosperity.

Due to health concerns, Nawaz, a three-time prime minister, has been living in self-imposed exile in London since November 2019. Because he failed to disclose a receivable salary, the Supreme Court permanently disqualified him in 2017.

Shehbaz stated that the Pakistani people had been “in fact deprived of progress and development” as a result of the removal of Nawaz and urged the party members to prepare to welcome him to draw attention to the injustice done to him.

Speaking about the performance of the Nawaz-led PML-N administration, the former prime minister claimed that his brother took office at a time when the nation was subject to protracted periods of load-shedding. He said, “Nawaz Sharif eliminated load-shedding in just four years.”

Comparing economic statistics and inflation between Nawaz Sharif’s previous and current terms as premier, the PML-N president remarked that “flour was at Rs35 per kilogramme during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure [as prime minister].” “I’ll work with Nawaz Sharif to get the nation back on track for growth and development.”

Shehbaz recalled the accomplishments of the PML-N leader, claiming that his brother carried out six nuclear tests in retaliation to India’s atomic tests despite receiving a call from then-US president Bill Clinton.

Shehbaz claimed that the 2018 general elections were “rigged” and that this had hampered the country’s progress and development.

It is important to be aware that the former three-term prime minister will visit Pakistan on October 21 and give a speech to the public at 6 o’clock that evening at Minar-e-Pakistan, according to a senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday.

Before Nawaz’s arrival, Nawaz’s legal team has finished making the necessary arrangements to request protective bail from the court.

The new strategy was developed after conversations with the party’s top officials, including vice president Hamza Shehbaz, chief organizer of the PML-N Maryam Nawaz, and former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to party insiders.

Nawaz will be the lone speaker at the occasion; Shehbaz, Maryam, and other party officials had originally been planned to do the same.

According to sources, Nawaz would provide a narrative to the PML-N workers during his address. Chief Organiser Maryam is credited with the idea.
