PM Shehbaz Sharif to Visit US for UNGA, Likely Meeting with Trump
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to travel to the United States to participate in the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Diplomatic sources indicate that a meeting between Prime Minister Sharif and US President Donald Trump is expected to take place on September 26, on the sidelines of the UNGA session in New York. The leaders are likely to discuss bilateral relations, regional developments, and global issues of shared interest.
This trip marks the final leg of a 10-day official tour, which began with Prime Minister Sharif’s departure for Saudi Arabia tomorrow, September 17. The tour also includes visits to the United Kingdom and the United States, running from September 17 to 27.
The visit comes shortly after Prime Minister Sharif returned from Doha, where he attended the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit convened in response to Israeli aggression.
