Six-Month-Old Baby Rescued Hours After Abduction from Sialkot Hospital
SIALKOT – A six-month-old baby girl was abducted from a private hospital on Sunday, sparking a swift response from local authorities. CCTV footage later revealed the shocking moment the infant was taken.
According to the child’s mother, the suspected kidnapper, a 22-year-old woman, had spent nearly five hours inside the hospital ward before taking the baby. The woman reportedly disguised herself as a CCD officer to mislead the hospital staff and attendants.
Police acted quickly after receiving the report and successfully recovered the baby within three hours. The kidnapper, identified as Hadia, was found hiding on the roof of a nearby shopping center.
Hadia’s mother told authorities that her daughter suffers from mental health issues, which may have contributed to her actions. She added that Hadia has a strong fascination with children, often enjoying holding and feeding them.
The baby was safely returned to her parents after police ensured her well-being. Hadia has been arrested, and a formal case has been registered against her.
Following the recovery, the family expressed their gratitude to the Punjab police, chanting slogans of “Punjab Police Zindabad.”
