Sindh Warns Vehicle Owners to Replace Old Number Plates
KARACHI – The Sindh government has once again directed all vehicle owners to replace their old and yellow-colored number plates with the new series by next month.
According to an official notification, non-compliance with the directive will lead to heavy fines and possible legal action under traffic laws.
Authorities have also urged those who have not yet collected their new plates from the Civic Centre to do so without further delay.
The government had earlier announced the replacement policy last month, giving vehicle owners a fixed deadline to switch to the new plates. However, despite repeated reminders, many vehicles are still being driven with outdated plates.
The sudden enforcement has sparked concern among citizens, especially in Karachi, where many consider the requirement inconvenient and financially burdensome.
