Nicki Minaj’s much-anticipated June 2 show in Amsterdam has been abruptly postponed due to her recent arrest for suspected drug use.
On her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, the rapper was supposed to play at the Ziggo Dome.
Nevertheless, in light of the events of last week, Dutch promoter Mojo confirmed the cancellation of the gig.
“Due to the events of last week, the Nicki Minaj show on Sunday, 2nd June at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam will no longer be taking place,” stated Mojo in a statement. Refunds for tickets will be given at the point of sale.
While his route to Manchester last week, Minaj was taken into custody at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
A 41-year-old lady was reportedly arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle soft drugs out of the nation, according to the National Police Corps.
The Public Prosecution Service will calculate the fine that she must pay after her release on Saturday.
Additionally, the incident made it necessary to postpone her May 25 performance at Co-op Live in Manchester.
The show was eventually postponed despite best efforts to go ahead.
Minaj said that she had been unfairly singled out by airport security on social media in an attempt to refute the accusations.
Regarding the most recent postponement of her Amsterdam show, the rapper has not yet spoken.
