Olivia Rodrigo is still receiving praise for her critically praised second studio album, GUTS.
With a remarkable six nominations for the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards, the 21-year-old performer’s 2023 album GUTS took home the Pop Album of the Year title.
Rodrigo electronically collected her trophy and gave her statement to the iHeartRadio Music Awards audience because she is presently on her GUTS World Tour.
“Hi iHeart! Through a prerecorded video statement, she expressed her gratitude for receiving the prize.
“I am so grateful and proud of GUTS and I am so happy that so many of you guys are resonating with it the way that I do,” she concluded.
“I am so bummed that I can’t be there with you guys to celebrate, but I am there in spirit and I am so grateful,” the three-time Grammy winner remarked, expressing her remorse for missing the ceremony.
GUTS received her second straight nomination for Album of the Year, after Sour, when she was nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in February.
Two further Grammy nominations were extended to Vampires and Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl, two of the album’s tunes.
