Imad Wasim, an all-rounder for Pakistan, has publicly announced his retirement from playing cricket internationally.
The news was made via a sincere message that he shared on his social media account under the handle “X,” in which he looked back on his remarkable career and thanked both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the fans for their support.
I’ve been reflecting a lot on my international career lately, and I’ve decided that this is the perfect time for me to declare my retirement from international cricket. I would want to express my gratitude to the PCB for their unwavering support throughout the years; it has been an honor to represent Pakistan. Every one of my 121 outings in the T201 and ODI formats was an incredible experience. With new coaches and leadership joining the team, Pakistan cricket is entering an exciting phase of growth. I hope everyone engaged has the best of luck, and I’m excited to see the team succeed.”
“Imad Wasim has been a valuable asset to Pakistan cricket,” remarked Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee. His contributions have been essential to the team’s success, particularly in white-ball cricket. We shall miss him on the field, even though we appreciate his choice to retire.

It’s important to remember that in 55 ODI matches over the course of his career, the 34-year-old scored 986 runs and claimed 44 wickets.
Imad has 66 appearances in the Twenty20 Internationals, where he has taken an outstanding 65 wickets in addition to scoring 486 runs.
