The court directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khan Zaib Khan to oversee the investigation and report back to the court personally.
The hearing, presided over by Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, over a petition seeking the recovery of Umar Sultan.
During the hearing, SSP Zaib confirmed the existence of CCTV footage, which is currently under review as part of the ongoing investigation.
