Sources within the Indian Punjab Police have disclosed that Singh had connections with pro-Khalistan groups, as reported by Indian media outlets.
In a recent development, Indian intelligence documents have shed light on Sukhdool Singh, also known as Sukha Duneke, a prominent figure within the Davinder Bambiha group and a native of Punjab’s Moga district. Reports suggest that his untimely demise can be attributed to a violent clash between rival criminal organizations.
The shocking news of Sukhdool Singh’s passing comes shortly after the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) had issued a list of wanted fugitives, some of whom were already within India’s borders, while others remained at large. SSP Moga J. Elanchezhian, in an interview with ANI news, confirmed that the police had informed his family of his demise.

Sukhdool Singh, 29 years old at the time of his death, was affiliated with the Davinder Bambiha group, an alleged criminal outfit operating in and around Moga. Indian records indicate that he faced charges related to seven different offenses. Additionally, he was known to espouse pro-Khalistan views, but he was also allegedly involved in extortion and “supari” killings.
He stood accused of the murder of Vikramjit Singh, a 33-year-old leader of the Young Akali Dal. Vikramjit was tragically shot and killed in broad daylight in Sector 71 of Mohali on August 7, 2021. This incident is believed to have set in motion a chain of events leading to the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, as reported by the Indian media.
