Sweden Eases Schengen Visa Rules for Pakistanis

Sweden Makes It Easier for Pakistanis to Get a Visa for Short Visits

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Sweden has made it easier for Pakistanis to visit for a short time. This is a good sign of growing friendship between the two countries.

From July 7, Pakistani citizens can apply for a Schengen visa from within Pakistan to visit Sweden for up to 90 days.

During recent talks in Stockholm, the Pakistani team was led by the Additional Foreign Secretary for Europe, and the Swedish team was led by the Director General for Global Affairs.

Important Information About the Visa:

Pakistani people who want to visit Sweden in 2025 must show strong financial proof to get a short-term Schengen visa.

The most important requirement is a bank statement that shows the person has enough money to stay in Sweden.

Sweden is famous for its beautiful nature, rich culture, and modern cities. Many people want to go there for tourism, visiting family, or business. However, Pakistani passport holders must first get a visa.

What You Need Financially:

You must show a 6-month bank statement with regular money activity.

You need to show that you have at least 80 euros per day for your visit.

For a 90-day stay, this means you need 7,200 euros.

At the exchange rate of 1 euro = Rs328.4 (as of June 19, 2025), you must have at least Rs2.4 million in your bank account.
