A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier recently embraced martyrdom after a terrorist attack at a security check post in Balochistan’s Kech district late Sunday night, as informed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The terrorists plotted a fire raid on FC Balochistan Post that was established for the security of N-85 Highway near Hoshab, District Kech late last night. During this exchange of fire, Sepoy Asad Mehdi embraced martyrdom.
The military’s media wing stated that the security forces had cordoned off the area and had blocked escape routes. This was done so as to apprehend fleeing terrorists.
A Cowardly act
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid condemned the attack by stating that it was “a cowardly attempt of anti-state elements”. He vowed to deal with the matter. He also promised to make an example out of the terrorists involved in the attack.
The Interior Minister especially prayed for the martyr of the Kech terrorist attack.
The attack took place in less than two weeks after FC soldier, Sepoy Sher Zamin, was also martyred. This was during a security operation in the North Waziristan district.
The funeral prayers of the soldier were offered in his native village of Shalman the very next day. After which, the sepoy was laid to rest with full military honor.
The funeral was attended by Commander of 13 Riffles, Lieutenant Colonel Sohail Mansoor, alongside other important officials.
Keeping in mind the current terrorist attacks PM Imran Khan has reached out to the masses and offered his condolences regarding who were martyred. In his tweet on Twitter, he states that:
Saddened to hear of 7 brave soldiers martyrdom as a result of attack on FC post in Harnai Balochistan late last night. My heartfelt condolences & prayers go to their families. Our nation stands with our courageous soldiers who face attacks from Indian backed terrorists.
