Former national team captain and Quetta Gladiator’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is unable to go to the UAE. As he could not receive clearance for traveling to the UAE, sources reported on Sunday.
Sarfaraz and ten other Lahore residents could not get clearance for the trip to Abu Dhabi. Five individuals, including quick bowler Mohammad Hasnain, did, however, leave Karachi for Abu Dhabi.
At 4:00 a.m. today, the former national team captain expects to catch a commercial aircraft to Abu Dhabi.
Sarfaraz has arrived at the hotel from the airport and will quarantine until his trip to Abu Dhabi.
Sarfaraz has returned to the hotel from the airport and will remain in quarantine until his flight to Abu Dhabi.
According to sources, he has been in quarantine at the hotel for the past seven days. Furthermore, he has also expressed displeasure with the PCB management over issues relating to his departure.
The PCB has received special clearance from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council to transport 16 people from Pakistan to the UAE. The board has requested authorization from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for all players and match officials.
As Sarfaraz Ahmed is unable to go to the UAE on Sunday. He is likely to leave for Abu Dhabi tonight, said PCB sources.
