Netflix Drops Teaser for ‘The Great Flood’ Starring Kim Da-mi
Netflix released the official teaser for its upcoming sci-fi disaster film, The Great Flood, on Monday, giving viewers a first glimpse of the intense story.
The teaser follows An-Na (Kim Da-mi), an AI researcher, on what starts as a typical morning with her young son, Ja-in (Kwon Eun-seong). But her routine quickly turns nightmarish when she realizes the world is being swallowed by an unprecedented flood. What follows is a gripping struggle for survival as the waters continue to rise.
Amidst the chaos, a member of a security team arrives with a secret mission for An-Na—tasked not only with surviving but also saving the future of humanity.
“Set on the last day on Earth, the film unfolds as a catastrophic flood submerges the world, leaving a handful of survivors stranded in a sinking apartment building,” the official synopsis states.
Co-written and directed by South Korean filmmaker Kim Byung-woo, The Great Flood also stars Park Hae-soo, Kim Kyu-na, Kim Byung-nam, Lee Dong-chan, and Kim Su-kyung. The film is set for its world premiere at the 30th Busan International Film Festival on Thursday, September 18, under the Korean Cinema Today – Special Premiere section.
The movie will later be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix starting December 19.
