The Housemaid Trailer Seyfried vs Sweeney

‘The Housemaid’ Trailer: Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney Face Off in Psychological Thriller

The first trailer for The Housemaid dropped Tuesday evening, offering a chilling glimpse into the tense relationship between Mrs. Nina Winchester (Amanda Seyfried) and Millie Calloway (Sydney Sweeney), a live-in maid with a troubled past.

What begins as a working arrangement quickly spirals into mind games and mistrust. Nina tries to make Millie feel at ease, even handing her the key to her own bedroom. But beneath that gesture of kindness lurks an atmosphere thick with unease. Millie, too, is not without secrets—her sly smile after the job interview soon hardens into something darker, suggesting her innocent act may be just that: an act.

The film pits Seyfried and Sweeney against each other in a battle of manipulation and hidden truths. They are joined by Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, Elizabeth Perkins, and Mark Grossman. The psychological thriller is directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Paul Feig, working from a screenplay by Rebecca Sonnenshine, adapted from Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel.

Both Seyfried and Sweeney serve as executive producers alongside McFadden, adding extra star power to the project.

The Housemaid is set to hit theaters on December 19.
