The ‘Karachi with Palestine’ march demands an end to Israeli atrocities.

On Thursday, thousands of political workers and civil society activists marched under the banner of ‘Karachi with Palestine.’ Meantime several religious groups, including the Jamaat-e-Islami, will hold demonstrations in various parts of the capital, including outside the US Consulate, today (Friday). Regularly, Karachi residents have seen marches and protests against the violence of Israel. The ‘Karachi with Palestine’ march demands an end to Israeli atrocities.

In the afternoon, a significant number of staff from numerous left-wing parties, including the Awami Workers Party, and arights activists marched from Regal Chowk to the Karachi Press Club in solidarity with Palestinians and opposition to the Israeli government.

Participants carried posters, Palestinian flags, and placards with slogans. It includes, ‘Free Palestine,’ ‘I support Gaza,’ and ‘Israel is a terrorist regime, end the occupation.’ They also shouted pro-Palestine slogans and condemned bigotry, imperialism, and apartheid.

According to speakers, Pakistanis actively supported Palestinian resistance in all respects. Moreover, their support for the Palestinian liberation was unconditional. Hundreds of youngsters, mostly students, took part in a protest in Karachi on Wednesday. The prime purpose is to condemn Israel’s continuing attacks on Gaza. In addition, insist that the Pakistani government and other world forces interfere to bring an end to the bloodshed. Hundreds of teachers, local activists, and showbiz personalities attended the rally outside the KPC.

Jamaat-e-Islami

As part of the Jamaat-e-nationwide Islami’s demonstrations against Israel’s injustice in Gaza, the religious party has declared a rally today Sharea Faisal, while the party’s youth wing will organize a protest outside the US Consulate.

JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman will address the rally on Sharea Faisal from Baloch Colony to Nursery, which will also include JI deputy chief Usama Raza and JI Youth Wing Karachi chief Hashim Abdali. He added that “The ‘Karachi with Palestine’ march demands an end to Israeli atrocities.”

To express unity with the Palestinians, the JI has also planned a Palestine March in the city on Sunday. Also, its leaders have met with religious scholars, leaders of professional bodies, and other stakeholders in this regard.

A delegation headed by JI Karachi chief Rehman will meet with Karachi Bar Association Naeem Qureshi at the city courts. The sole aim of the meeting is to invite the legal community to the Sunday rally. A JI delegation met with famous religious scholars Maulana Abdul Razzaq Sikandar and Maulana Saeed Sikandar on Thursday.

They lauded the JI’s initiative and assured it of their complete support. Furthermore, They had urged their Circle to join them in the march as a show of solidarity with their Palestinian.

Shia groups

Various Shia groups have also declared that they would hold nationwide marches prayers to condemn the violence of Israel.

The Majlis Wahdat-ul-Mulsimeen has announced that after Friday prayers, it will protest Israeli atrocities in Kharadar, Orangi Town, Malir Press Club, Malir City, Awami Colony Korangi, and Hussain Hazara Goth. After Friday prayers, the Shia Ulema Council will also demonstrate outside famous mosques and the KPC.
