The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Daraz, the top e-commerce platform in Pakistan, have formally entered a strategic relationship through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on December 11 in Karachi.
Mr. Hafeez Abbasi, Director General of SS&C, NAVTTC, and Mr. Ehsan Saya, Managing Director of Daraz, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The Executive Director of NAVTTC, Mr. Aamir Jan, was also present virtually. The partnership intends to empower people by enhancing their abilities in commerce, allowing them to succeed as Daraz platform vendors and encourage entrepreneurship in the nation.
This collaboration suggests that NAVTTC will use a unique e-commerce curriculum created by Daraz. The curriculum is purposefully created to provide NAVTTC students the tools they need to succeed as online business owners, which is a big step toward increasing digital entrepreneurship in the nation. A more in-depth 6-month course and a beginner-friendly 3-month course will be given as part of the curriculum, which will accommodate a variety of learning goals and preferences.
Daraz goes above and beyond curriculum development to support NAVTTC teachers by providing free training. This guarantees that the teachers are capable of teaching this contemporary curriculum, increasing the program’s overall efficacy and outreach. Students who successfully complete the course will receive certificates, signifying their preparedness to enter the online marketplace.
“At Daraz, we recognize the revolutionary potential of online shopping in the current digital era. As DG of NAVTTC, Mr. Hafiz Abbassi, spoke at the event, stating that NAVTTC’s mission is to equip Pakistan’s youth with the skills needed to compete in the modern, global market. This collaboration with Daraz is a positive move in that direction. Since Daraz is a market leader, we are confident that incorporating their expertly designed e-commerce curriculum into our programs will improve our educational offerings and have a direct positive impact on our nation’s entrepreneurial and digital literacy environment. This partnership fits in nicely with NAVTCC’s mission to equip Pakistani youth for a digitally and globally connected future.
