Tom Holland Reveals Spider-Man Suit Gets Swapped Every Two Weeks During Filming

Tom Holland is back in action as Spider-Man, and it seems the superhero wardrobe comes with its own… unique challenges. Speaking about his role in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland shared in a recent interview that his Spider-Man suit gets replaced roughly every two weeks because it quickly becomes “musty.”

“Yeah, it definitely does. I probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon,” Holland admitted with a laugh.

The actor also opened up about his approach to bringing Peter Parker to life in the latest installment. “For me, I want to do justice to Peter Parker’s character. I want to bring the fans something really worthy of their time, and I’m very grateful for their investment in our franchise. I don’t mean financially, I mean the time to go to the cinema three times. That’s a big ask,” he said.

Holland explained that he’s done his homework in preparation for the film. “I did a lot of sneaky research online—looking at what people were saying in the interim between Spider-Man: No Way Home and now Spider-Man: Brand New Day. I really just kind of put together a vibe of what people were looking for and went to Marvel and said, ‘This is what I think we should be doing.’ And I think that’s exactly what we are doing. So it’s been a really fun process developing the movie. It’s the first time I’ve ever been allowed in that part of the process, and it’s definitely a stressful experience. But I think where we’ve got to, now that we’re shooting, we are shooting absolute gold.”

The fourth installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man series, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, stars Holland alongside his fiancée Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and Tramell Tillman.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026.
