Trump Says Israel Has Accepted Ceasefire Plan
Former U.S. President Donald Trump said on social media that his team had long and positive talks with Israeli officials. He said that Israel has agreed to the main terms of a 60-day ceasefire, which means stopping the war for 60 days.
During this time, Trump said they would work with all sides to try to end the war completely.
He also said that Qatar and Egypt, who have been working hard to bring peace, will present the final proposal to both sides.
Trump added, “I believe Hamas will also agree to this deal because it will help bring peace to the Middle East.”
