Usman Mukhtar directed a Pakistani short film Bench, which has just been screened at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival and we all are proud of him. Ali Mudar is the writer of the film.

The film won in July at the South Shore Film Festival in New York and it also appeared in the nominations before in the best short film category at the Independent Short Awards festival in Los Angeles, USA. CIIFF is just another feather in the cap for it.
It explores the struggles faced by a coupled played by Chaudhry and Mukhtar. At the moment, the film is doing festival rounds. Pakistan will also screen the film very soon. “Film is about two people who meet on a bench. It’s a dialogue based film which takes very interesting twist and turns.” Usman said.
We wish Usman Congratulations on this big achievement and success!
