Meta, the company behind WhatsApp, has introduced exciting new features for ‘Communities’ on the messaging platform. Now, users can create events and send invites to their community groups, making it easier to organize and stay connected.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, announced this update, highlighting the new ability to create events directly within groups and reply to announcements from group admins.
Each community can now have up to 100 groups, allowing for more organized communication. Any member of the community can create events, and automatic reminders will be sent to attendees as the event date approaches, ensuring that everyone stays informed.
Admins have the added convenience of planning events directly on WhatsApp, eliminating the need for third-party apps. This streamlines the process and makes it more convenient for group organizers.
Furthermore, users can now respond to event invites, making it easier to RSVP and coordinate attendance. Additionally, users have the option to reply to admin announcements, although notifications for these replies are muted by default to reduce clutter in group chats.
