Pakistan's team received visas for the World Cup in India

The Men in Green are expected to leave on Wednesday morning for Hyderabad, India, via Dubai.

Just in time for the next ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which will begin in India on October 5, Pakistan’s cricket players have finally received visas.

The Men in Green will now leave on Wednesday morning for Hyderabad, India, via Dubai. On Friday, September 29, in Hyderabad, they will play their first pre-World Cup game against New Zealand.

But Pakistan’s journey to obtain these visas wasn’t easy. Due to the lengthy delay in getting Indian visas, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially expressed its displeasure with the International Cricket Council (ICC) earlier today. The PCB expressed its concerns in writing to the ICC, citing the Host-Member agreement that controls this kind of international athletic event as a source of guidance.

“We have been discussing this issue for three years, but no one has paid attention to our concerns,” PCB wrote in the letter. We are currently awaiting visas as a result of the current state of affairs. Due to the concerned authorities’ lack of responsiveness, we are in a condition of uncertainty. We had originally intended to spend two days in Dubai before traveling to Hyderabad, but we were forced to postpone that journey due to a visa problem. Every time we contacted the relevant authorities, we received a guarantee that the visas would be provided within a day. However, as time goes on, the level of ambiguity increases, which makes everyone anxious.

Pakistan had to change their original plans to spend two days in Dubai before traveling to Hyderabad for the World Cup due to these visa problems.
