19 year old Shehroze Kashif becomes the youngest Pakistani to climb the world’s highest peak Mount Everest.
A resident of Lahore, Shehroze Kashif summited Everest as part of the SST Expedition 2021. While standing on top of the 8,849-meter (29,032 ft) mountain on May 11; He proudly raised the flag of Pakistan.
Nepalese mountaineer and the expedition manager, Chhang Dawa Sherpa announced that Kashif climbed the Everest during the successful expedition of Seven Summit Treks – Everest Expedition 2021 while congratulating him.
Climbing History
Being a passionate climber Shehroze Kashif started his climbing journey from the age of 11 summiting the Makra Peak (3,885m). He then also aced Musa ka Massalah (4,080m), aged 12, followed by the Chembra Peak (4,600m); Minglik Sar Shimshal (6,050m) at age 13, the K2 Gondogoro La K2 Base Camp (5,585m) at age 14 and Khurdopin Pass (5,890m) at age 15.
At the age of 17 He earned the title ‘The Broad Boy’ on reaching Broad peak (8,047m); Khusar Gang-Alpine Style (6,050m) at 18. Last but not the least at 19 He made his land proud changing his childhood dream into reality by summiting to Everest.
The mountaineer community in Pakistan overjoyed after the news broke out to them and wished the young boy also prayed for his safe decent.
A few days before the Summit the young mountaineer Shehroze Kashif shared; how he dreamed of being on top of Mount Everest since childhood; and now after 10 years his dream is going to become true; and also he is ready to raise the green flag on top of the world’s highest peak.
