General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, issued a warning to young people on Wednesday over content on social media, stating that one of the goals of “propaganda” there was to “spread negativity and chaos in society”.
The army commander showed trust in the next generation while speaking at the Pakistan National Youth Conference in Islamabad. He asked the delegates to verify and validate content on social media.
He reassured the guests that Pakistan’s military forces were always prepared to combat any threat or plot against the nation and emphasized that Pakistan is our identity as a people and that we would be “nothing” without it.
The army chief went on to say that Pakistan will never give up its sovereignty and that he is confident in the country’s promising future.
The army chief underlined that while the force can fight terrorists, national collaboration is required in the struggle, referring to the youth as defenders of the nation’s vibrant traditions.
In addition, General Munir exhorted the young people to have faith in the nation, its culture, civilization, and themselves. He also said that they should be assured that they are the descendants of a magnificent country and motherland.
The nation is endowed with a wealth of agricultural and natural resources, as well as a youthful population bulge, according to the army leader.
The army commander issued a warning earlier in December against the spread of false information and rumors about Pakistan on social media, which aim to incite dissatisfaction and disorder in the nation by giving the false impression that the state is collapsing.
Speaking at the National Farmers’ Convention, General Asim stated that the state of Pakistan and the holy state of Madina were the only two states created under the name Kalima. He promised that the nation would stand with all mafias in their efforts to destroy them.
The farmers, according to Gen. Asim, are the foundation of the nation’s agriculture industry. “Your tireless efforts, labor, and resolve are crucial in guaranteeing food security for millions of Pakistanis.”
You inspire pride in both the country and us,” he continued.
Pakistan’s economy would recover thanks to all of the SIFC‘s measures, according to the army chief. He went on, “Together, we as a strong nation will guide Pakistan toward a prosperous and progressive future, Insha’Allah.”
