What Will Change?
YouTube will now limit monetisation (earning money) for:
Videos made with boring templates
Videos made mostly by AI tools or scripts
Faceless channels that post low-quality or repeated content
To earn money, creators must now add something human to their content, like their voice, face, or personal opinion.
Even if a channel has enough subscribers (1,000) and watch time (4,000 hours or 10 million Shorts views), it could still be demonetised (lose the ability to earn money) if the videos are not original.
What About AI-Generated Content?
YouTube won’t ban AI-generated videos completely, but it will only allow them if they include clear human input.
If creators use:
AI voices
AI avatars
AI-written scripts
…they must also add something unique, like commentary, storytelling, or educational value.
VTubers (who use animated avatars) can still earn money if they use their voice and make original content.

Avoid using repetitive formats or templates
Add personal voiceovers, opinions, or creative editing
